My son and I got a bad rash after staying 1 night at this Hotel and we had our cats with us and I'm waiting to see if they show any symptoms. My Dr. prescribed my son and I a Scabies cream that you have to apply to your entire body. Bed bugs bring on scabies. The sores hurt and burn and it is no fun wearing clothes that rub on the rash. This is the most disgusting thing I have ever had. I called the Hotel and the GM had left for the day at 4 p.m. The reservationist said she has worked there for 7 yrs. and never heard of a single incident of bed bugs, which is a lie because I am finding a lot of reports of bed bugs and scabies at this Hotel on several blogs and web sites. My poor son is still in Port Orange - he stayed for a full week with friends with this rash and I was able to get him the prescription cream also, but because of the discomfort he was unable to go swimming, go to the water park or any other activities. Any Hotel with bed bugs should be shut down until there is proof the bugs are gone - this is a very serious matter that is not being taken seriously enough.

Upon walking up to the hotel room it smells like a veterinary office. Very strong smell of chemicals. We stayed in room 314. After the first night when I went to bed I felt a little itching on my leg but thought it was just a normal bug bite. The next morning when I woke up I had bites on my wrist and ankles. I thought it was fleas. That night after I got home I had many bites on the inside of my thighs. This is totally disgusting! Luckily I did not bring any of my luggage into my home. We did contact the manager and were refunded one night stay, but this is no recourse for the mental games you play with yourself once being exposed to bedbugs.
