My stay at this quality inn was certainly a negative experience. My family and I stayed there on vacation. Checked in pretty late. As soon as I got in my room I put a few things in the refrigerator and smelled extremely fowl. I figured I'd let them know in the morning. We went to bed when we got up my daughter had over a dozen bits on her back legs and even on her face. I was very upset took her to the doctor and I had to spend time and money on the doctor copay and medicine. I reported to the front desk all they did was refund our first night and switch rooms. Tried over and over to speak to the manager he never called us he had our cell numbers and New where we were staying. It ruined our vacation and pictures my daughters eye swell up. Do yourself a favor and Don't STAY AT THIS HOTEL! !

Never stay here! Never! My two daughters and I stayed on Saturday night over Labor Day weekend because there was nothing else available in the area. When we got to our room Saturday night, I flipped down the covers to sit on the bed and a bug ran onto the pillow so I threw it on the floor. We were creeped out at how dingy and smelly (smoked in) the room was so we looked at the sheets and there were stains and a long hair on them. We walked down to the office because the rooms are not attached to the hotel(1/2 block away). I was going to request we move rooms but as I was waiting in line to be helped by the desk person I heard her turn away a person because they were fully booked. So we discussed it knowing everything was booked in the area and we decided to ask for two new sets of sheets and 8 pillow cases for the two beds. She said it would take a while because she was the only one working in the hotel. We were shocked only one person would be required to do everything for a hotel of that size. She (Rhianan?) was super nice and eventually brought the sheets and pillow cases and the extra towel because there were only 2 in the room although it was reserved for 3. She volunteered to change the sheets but we felt badly for her because she was doing everything already so I tipped her $5 for her trouble. We took the top sheets off and put the fitted sheets over the fitted sheets already on the bed for extra protection then put the new top sheets on. We were exhausted and went to sleep immediately. The next morning I showered but did not wash my hair and my girls did not shower. We had breakfast at the hotel. We walked around Cottonwood then ate lunch and headed back to Scottsdale. I put on my pajamas (stupidly) that I had worn the night before and went to bed. I noticed a couple bites on my neck at that time. I woke up early to play tennis and noticed some more bites around my neck area and on my arm. Apparently bed bug bites don't always show up immediately and can take a few days in some cases. Mine took less than 24 hours to show up. My friends commented and we began to notice more bites. I got home and asked my girls if they had bites and they had a few between them. I have 71 bites! We realized it was from the room we stayed in.#125. I emailed the manager (Stephanie) and sent numerous photos of the bites and never heard back so I called her again and she said there was nothing in the room and it must be mosquito bites. Impossible! There are bites on my butt and areas that were completely covered by clothes. After researching bed bugs and seeing the bug on the bed, there are bed bugs at the hotel! I never saw a mosquito the entire time I was in Cottonwood. I asked the manager for a refund and she said no because they were mosquito bites.i asked her if she had a professional inspect the room and she said no because it was too expensive. Horrific and unacceptable!!! I will be posting on as many sites as possible about this because no one should stay here, ever! Beware!!! I have also called and emailed and sent photos to corporate (Choice Hotels) and they offered me 3000 points (I'll never stay in any of their hotels ever if they so easily put their brand on a flea bag hotel like this) or a $20 check! Laughable!

We stayed here on September 15th 2018 we lifted up the mattresses we found bed bugs spiders and a lot of mods. We notified the manager via phone since she was unavailable the whole entire stay she offered a 30% discount but went ahead and charged us for two nights although we only stayed for one with no discount.
