Bedbug Reviews

I stayed at this hotel for a week due to a work related event from May 16 thru May 20, 2016. On Wednesday, May 18, 2016 I woke up and had blood on the sheet that I brought to cocoon myself in and there was also blood on my hand. I immediately got out of bed (5:15am) and pulled my sheet back and there was a bed bug under my sheet. I had been bitten on the hand. I brought the bug down to the front desk and I was clearly upset. Maintenance took the bug from me and called an inspector to come and check my room. I was also given large garbage bags by Maintenance to bag my belongings. (Inspector never arrived until 3:30pm) The front desk clerk offered me a roll of quarters and some laundry detergent to clean what I had brought with me. Fast forwarding....I was approached by the maintenance individual two hours after that and he asked if I had been given a new room, as they quarantined mine along with my belongings until the "inspector" could arrive. I explained to him that I was not offered a new room and within minutes he made sure that I had one. The maintenance staff was terrific. They checked on me throughout the day. At 4:00pm I was approached and told by maintenance that they had good news and bad news. The good news was the inspector did not find any "live" bed bugs. The bad news...the bug I had presented was in fact a bed bug and the inspector found numerous "casings" in the room as evidence that the room had bed bugs. Hotel management was terrible in this situation. I filled out the survey a week later when I received it. I was honest and praised the efforts of the maintenance staff. However, I then received an email from the hotel General Manager telling me she was disappointed in my review and that she commended her entire staff in their assistance. Telling me everyone went above and beyond. That was NOT the case and I responded to her with the facts. I also emailed the Regional Manager, and received a less than suitable response. I spoke with Marriott Customer Care and Corporate on two occasions to file a complaint at the way management had treated me. I heard nothing back. In short, the experience cost me $300 out of my own pocket to replace my luggage and cover all of my dry cleaning expenses. I received NOTHING from the hotel or Marriott except a great deal of aggravation and unprofessional management.

I was worked up at 2:30 am with extreme itching. My first thought was there's a mosquito in the room. After 5 minutes I realized the entire left side of my body was covered with welts. I spent time looking through the sheets and came across 2 adult bed bugs on top of the sheets. I scooped one up to take to the front desk. Everyone was very friendly, however, the overnight attendant could not do anything for me (not even offer a change of rooms). So I began the process of checking out. By the time I got everything packed up in plastic and showered, the manager had arrived. I was informed that pest control had been called and my room was refunded. I'm really impressed with speediness of the manager. After grabbing some food at the continental breakfast, I passed the pest control entering as I exited.

Told my husband and he had bites on him. He went to tell them about the bites and she said (Jennifer ) would call back never did. Called Marriott customer care and lodged a complaint said in 24 Hours someone would get back no one did. Had to buy mattress and box spring covers. Had all furniture steamed cleaned and vacuumed all rugs. Threw out suitcase and bought anti itch creams to slather all over bites.
