Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I stayed the weekend for Labor Day 2015 at the Safety Harbor resort and spa. I checked out today at 2 PM ( members are permitted later check out times) it is now close to midnight and I am covered in little red what welts. Not like mosquito whelts. These are much smaller and read and they're all over my legs. When I went online to find out what it is they look identical to bedbug bites online. I called the resort to report it and all he could say was that for whatever reason my room had been closed down after I left. I'm assuming they maid discovered the bedbugs. In either case, I love this spa so much I became a member and pay monthly dues. I would not be making this report if I were not 100% convinced there are bedbugs :-(
