10/7/2020 room #102. Checked in on 10/6/2020 rm 102. On check-in visually checked the room mattresses sprayed everything with Lysol as usual that night our son fell asleep on the green sofa bed on his phone in the morning we went to a hobby shop came back with Wendy's for lunch went to sit down on the sofa that had a white sheet and white blanket on it and what looked like a speck of dirt turned out to be a bed bug tore everything off of the sofa cushions and took the silver lamp from the left side of the sofa and inspected the sofa and bed bugs were crawling out of every seam opened the bed the mattress was stained they were colonies all the way down deep into the wood they had been there for a very long time I learned in the front desk show them the paper towels with all the dead ones because I was searching for any bugs that might have blood for signs of my son had been bitten. The clerk gave us bags after asking and my husband asked for our stuff to be put in dryers which she did. We spent a very long time packing up all of our stuff and our kids stuff to move to another room we ate our lunch which was now dinner time we went out to Walmart and purchased some adams flea and tick spray and some peppermint oil spray because the Internet said this would help to either kill them or keep them away from our stuff when we came back we told the clerk we were going to spraying the room that we were in now and our stuff at the pool and that it dry outside at the pool so we sprayed all of our stuff at the pool sat there ate some ice cream and not too long after she came and said the pool had to close knowing that our stuff hadn't fully dried yet but bug spray that night checked the new room didn't really go to sleep because we were too paranoid and too buggy feeling to sleep but got like two hours of sleep woke up cuz it's my son's 13th birthday to take him to the inlet which was the reason for our trip on the way to the inlet we called the hotel and asked to speak to the manager which was the assistant manager and she told us she would take $20 off our stay I told her I bought cleaners she said she would take that off which would be $50 off the bill I said that wasn't good enough not for our trouble of ruining our whole day then the manager Richie got on and said he would take one night off I said that's not good enough he said two days and then when I asked about the sprays he had an attitude of not wanting to do two days and the cleaners there's only then when I inform them that I was trying to be nice about the whole situation not making a fit not going on the internet right away because we like their hotel we've been staying there for almost two years every month or so so he said he would come the whole bill which is only like $300 thanks not no apologies from the manager just the assistant manager but they seem like it was no biggie.
