Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I did a spot check when arriving and noticed one bedroom had bedbug covers on and thought the other probably did as well. Woke at 1am with a bedbug on my forehead. I squashed it and proceeded to strip the bed (the one I didn't check). The bed had a large tear across the foot end of the mattress (across the entire thing) to wear you could easily see all of the springs. I found what appeared to be a small millipede as well. I only saw the one bedbug and can only assume it came from inside the mattress. The staff moved me and the kids at 2am after allowing me to inspect another room. The owner happened to call in the middle of this and said they spray all of the time. Honestly, I think if they just put bedbug covers on the bed it would probably be ok sine I only found the one.
