Bedbug Reviews

2/13/2024 We checked in at 4pm (room 837) after waiting outside by the pool since 12pm with our two young children. Once inside our room, we noticed the general sloppy cleaning which we just accepted because we were exhausted and trying to settle our exhausted children. I sat in the bed with my daughter. When we finally switched rooms I discovered I was covered in bedbug bites across my rear end where I had been on the bed. I had over 20 bites across the backs of my legs and my butt and foot. We went to gently but firmly inform the manager of this occurrence and was graced with a lack of empathy and disinterest regarding the incident. To my shock, the managers did not appear phased by the presence of bedbugs but rather annoyed. We were told that there was a policy they need to follow so compensation was not given. They would only compensate for the cleanliness but my very visible bites that now covered my legs were not proof enough that they had a problem at hand. The first manager apologized but did not take any process of even crossing off the room from use. The second manager was extremely rude, cutting me off to tell me that they changed my room so what did I intend with this conversation after they only originally changed the room for cleanliness and the bug bites were new. She insinuated that I was lying and it was not a severe problem, and continued to be adamant that compensation was not their problem but that being given a new room had fixed everything. I then later discovered my one year old son had bites on his back as well. Management has not returned contact.
