After quite an argument with the management we were given a different room, this time it smelled like disinfection and there was a large stain on the bedspread with a cigeratte burn to the stain. We sat on the couch for a few minutes discussing our options and I noticed I started to itch. Three bites appeared on my right arm but I did not see the bed bugs. They are bed bug bites and still are not healed after three weeks. We quickly left the Quality Inn and did not return. Luckily for us we had not taken our luggage into the room. We did not bother with discussing with the manager as he was very rude to us over the smokie smelling room. |

Discovered bed bugs the departing morning. Numerous bites on scalp, hands, neck and back. Took pics, but cannot upload until tomorrow. Reported to front desk. Someone came and they took a few samples of the bugs, both alive and dead. Once we started looking around, there were TONS of them, from mite size to large pencil eraser size. Especially around the wall on the headboard and picture frame. Within 15 minutes of turning on the lights and opening the curtains, they were all gone!! The hotel did comp our room and stated that they were going to fumagate it. I threw out our travel pillows, and immediately shook out the clothes, put them in a plastic garbage sack then washed them as soon as we got home. It was an AWFUL experience! |

I found another soon after on the pillow and put the bloated chums together. I took pictures of both and the fecal matter left behind on both the hotel pillow cases. The manager was informed, but not very concerned, more thankful I did not make a big deal in front of other patrons. I also took the matter to the local health department and hopefully will know more next week. |

Later on that night while my arms were under the pillow I woke up to more bites. I then turned on the lights and saw several brown insects crawlng on the bed, I killed three,they were filled with blood, and captured two in the glass for proof. I also saw three climbing on the wall, I killed them also. I then reported this encounter to the hotel night manager, he was very polite and accomodating. |

Management has had a problem with insects before. They plan to close the entire first floor to fumigate, but are still renting rooms out to unsuspecting guests. Management said they would take care of the matter with me, but then refused to take my calls. They also fired the front desk manager who admitted they had previous problems with insects at the hotel. The bites from the BEDBUGS have created scabs, that will permanently scar. Almost 100 BEDBUG bites in one night. |

My friends and I shared a room with two double beds. The first indication of a problem was when I saw a bug crawling on the wall near my bed. I have never seen a bed bug before, but my friend knew right away what it was. Hoping it was an isolated case, we decided to stay. After laying in bed for a few minutes, my friend felt something crawling on him. Upon further inspection, he found a bug on his pillow. I hopped out of my bed, inspected, and also found a bug on the pillow that I was not using. It is now 1:30a and we attempted to call the office to report the problem. The phone was dead! This was the last straw. We walked to the office with a bed bug in hand as proof, and demanded a refund. I thought the bugs would only get on items that had contact with a bed. I inspected a folder that was laying on the TV counter, and found an another 3 bed bugs. From now on, I am not going with the cheapest option. I would rather pay more for a peace of mind. |

After falling asleep at midnight, I was awakened by my screaming wife who discovered insects crawling across her face. A subsequent search of the room and the two queen beds proved the existence of bedbugs. I do not think my wife or I were bitten, but we suspect that our children were. The bedbugs found in their bed were blood filled. Management reimbursed us our room, but not for our traveling companions which was completely unfair as we all left immediately (after showering anyway) You have been warned. We have pictures. |

We had noticed bugs in the cabin, but we were in the woods and they have a note in the cabin that this is common. The last day we were there a cockroach was dead in the kitchen sink. We gathered all of our clothes and luggage and went through it all. I left a note thanking them and that we hope that we were leaving the roaches in the cabin, and not taking them back home. What we did get was actually much worse. We store our suitcase under our bed at home, we had emptied it out and washed the clothes inside, and put it right under the bed, but there must have been some in hiding. About 2 weeks later I found one crawling in our bed. We pulled up our mattress and was in disgust. We have been fighting these vampires for almost 2 months If they had just been in the bed, which we threw out, it would have been over. They were also in the carpet which we have now ripped out. They were in the couch. I guess they move around, hide, and get carried through the house. I have just recently been reading about them and they are not just BED bugs. So basically in a short time my whole house has been infested and we didn't even know had them. Lots of money has gone out in replacing beds carpets and lots of powder and sprays. We will never travel without throughly checking the bed, keeping bed bug spray in our luggage, and if we see any type of bug run for the door. This has been a very costly lesson learned. |

Carpet and chairs were filthy but bed sheets appeared clean. Checked in late and canceled 2nd night after seeing room. Decided to stay that night because of late check in and out of the way location. Woke up with bites all over me. I thought something was biting me. Now I know I did not feel the bites but the after effects of bites. It was late and I tried to stay instead of going out in a poorly lit parking lot. Tried to sleep on top of bed covers. Checked out at 12:30 am after taking shower to get rid of bugs. Talked to the manager next morning and she still wanted me to pay for the room. She said I had used the room and taken a shower. She finally decided not to charge me when I told her about the bugs and taking the shower to get rid of bugs. Left clothes I slept in in the room in a plastic bag for disposal. Still brought the bugs home with me and am still trying to get rid of them. Bed bugs and lice were in the room and came home with me despite all precautions not to bring them in the house. I think they came in on a pocketbook and on me. I took a shower with lice shampoo and bagged my clothes immediately. I have thrown away a mattress and encased another one that will eventually have to go when I get rid of the bugs. I have had to throw out carpet in 4 rooms, two ottomans and a stuffed upholstered chair not to mention pocket books, luggage, clothes and shoes. Laundry has been a nightmare. I have used $50.00 of lice shampoo. Horrible and costly experience. Unlike the pictures on this site I did not break out. The bites just continued to sting like something was still biting me for about 10 days. They felt like they were "firing". The bugs and lice were in my hair. I shook my hair over the kitchen counter and dead bugs feel out. Looked like 1/16 inch long gray/black sliver. I had a few welts on my stomach. The bites did not stop until I encased the mattress I was sleeping on. I also heated the house to as high as it would go on a day that was 103 degrees. And I have spayed with every spray available. I contacted the exterminator and found treatment in this area costs a $1000 to $3500 and only has a 30 day warranty. The bugs can still hatch out after that 30 days. I am making progress. Lucky to live alone and lucky it is a hot summer. |

Not a big deal. I moved all of my things in, including 2 $1,000 + queen size mattresses. The next month, the master bedroom's mattress had been infested and we threw it out along with the box springs. Next of course came the couch, futon and my new mattress and box springs. During all this we told the landlord who only said, "Bugs?! I never heard of bugs being here!" We moved as soon as the 6 month lease was up. |

We wake up in the night bleeding from bites, only to find anywhere from 5-10 crawling all around our mattress. The people above us on all three floors have told us that they are all on their 2-4th extermination. Both adjacent to us have had 3 exterminations, and the two floors below us have them. When we returned from our leave for the extermination in our apt, we walked in and found two walking on my bed 5 minutes later!!! This is ridiculous: we are literally getting eaten alive, and our management co (unnamed) is illegally using bugbombs, not returning two weeks later for a follow up treatment, not sealing cracks and holes in the floor, and not treating all adjacent apts @ the same time. (all required by the City of Boston) When I spoke with housing inspector earlier, apparently they havent been reporting the "exterminations" either. Although the unhinhabitable living situation, we are moving this week, and they are refusing our last months rent, and deposit ($5400!!!) Do yourself a favor and stay out of this building. If you don't believe it, go to any door on the right side of the building and ask!!! We are in apt 12, but I won't give out any names, etc of others for the sake of privacy. |

My son participated in USA Taekwondo Jr. Olympics at the Orlando Convention Center. When we arrived on the 28th, I immediately inspected our room and found live bedbugs behind the head boards of both beds in the room. I quickly reported this to management, and we were immediately moved to another room in the hotel. Although this room had no bedbugs, the ceiling leaked and it smelled of mold. I did not sleep well at this hotel just thinking the mold, bedbugs, fleas and other insects crawling around in that hotel. We found this hotel through Expedia and heard nothing but good reviews about this Ramada Inn. The hotel doesn't look like the pictures on its website. It's rundown, flea and bedbug infested and in much needed repair to its interior and experior, but the hotel staff are very nice. |

When I turned on the light, I killed 2 bedbugs that were filled with my blood, I lifted the mattress, and found one more bedbug running around. I had a roommate with me, and also found a baby bedbug running around on her bed when I woke her up to get out of that room. The management did find another room for us about 10 floors away from that one - room 224. In the second room, I found a dead one on the bathroom floor, and was hoping that meant they had just exterminated. After about 15 minutes of trying to sleep, I woke up itching again, and this time managed to trap the bedbug live in one of the glasses that they give you for drinking water. I presented it to the manager. Thankfully, the hotel manager arranged a room for us in another hotel for the rest of the night. I appreciated the other hotel, even if it wound up only being for a few hours nap. |

Be careful when going to this motel. On May 1st thru May 8th. in rooms 167 and 110. My family paid for a week stay at this "Valuestay Inn and Suites" at 2001 N. Hudson, Pueblo, Co. 81001. A 6 month old baby got tore up by bed bugs and when we peeled back the sheets and blankets to check the bed there were absolutely no signs so we thought it might be a rash but, as soon as we went to the office to pay for more days the clerk saw the bites and immediately went to our room to check for the culprits. She too, saw nothing when she peeled back the covers, but, when she removed the headboard from where it was bolted into the wall, behold, the place was infested. We should have gotten the hint when we saw all the mattresses sitting outside rooms, that there was some sort of problem. But, our ignorance, or actually, our attention to lifes problems stopped us from noticing all the signs . They did move us to another room , and we were happy for a few hours, but, when night fell, the cockroaches were outside the patio doors dying to get in . We immediately grabbed the babies and went to the front desk. They offered NO help what-so-ever and really acted non-chalant about everything. They had the nerve to argue with us, and make it seem as if it were our fault we had been attacked. At that point we were soo shooken up, we felt violated and dirty. It is now going on 3 weeks since we left, and the manager Perry, has yet to make good on his promise to refund the money we paid, he just keeps giving us excuses after excuses. BEWARE when staying at this hotel. it was a NIGTMARE!!!! And it doesn't help that most the staff of clerks are related to Perry they are his daughters, or his rude and hateful wife. I stayed at the Mariott Residence Inn in Fayetteville, NC from 26APR2010 to 18MAY2010. Within that period I recieved 40+ bed bug bites and percieved them as a dermotology problem, or allergic reaction. On the night of 17MAY2010 my friend Cassie Vilante stayed the night with me. In the morning, it was visible that she had recieved bites throughout the night. I would not find out until 19MAY the severity of her bites I did not bring it up to the hotel staff. On 18MAY10 I was informed that I had to move my belongings out of the hotel and to another hotel by the manager Pam, because of a bed beg infestation in four rooms, my room being the worst. I was offered nothing more than a free night at another hotel, of which I expected to pay anyways. No other compensation was offered initially. Upon conversation with Pam the manager, I indicated a need for some sort of compensation for not only moving my belongings, but recieving the bites and insomnia over the three week period. She initially offered 8000 Marriott points, equal to about half the coverage of one nights stay. I declined and she offered 20,000 equal to one nights stay. At the time I did not realize the severity of my friend Cassie Vilante's bites, which numbered from 80-90 in a degree of severity. Overall I want compensation for not only myself and Cassies bites and torment of itching involved, but compensation for the complete feeling of "heebie jeebies" and uncomfortableness I must endure while staying at another hotel for the next three months. |

We arose at 5:15 am to catch an early train, which is an active feeding time for bed bugs, just before dawn. I noticed a bug crawling on the my brothers shirt on the chest. I flicked it off and thought it was a roach. Then it quickly dawned on me that it was smaller and more round, which was probably a bed bug. We decided to check the sheets and mattresses to see if there were any more bugs, and sure enough we found 3 more very quickly. They were on the sheets and the mattress. We probably could've found even more, but we turned our efforts into inspecting our belongings and checking out as quickly as possible. We put three bugs in a plastic cup and took them to show the front desk agent that they had bed bugs. We were promised a call from the general manager, but our stay was on 4/7/2010 and it is nearly a week later. He has not called us nor returned any of our 3 calls to him. The front desk agent said they'd never had bed bugs reported; yet in the same breath says they treat for bed bugs often. Three of the four of us have bites and some patches of bites. They are itchy and red, and resemble a mosquito's bite, but these are a bit itchier and more red. Very awful bugs! We have gone to great lengths to hopefully keep them from following us home; but time will tell. |

On the morning I left I saw a little bug crawling among the sheet/blanket. I killed it and wrapped it in plastic. I really didn't know about bedbugs as this is something that I only heard about back in the 1950's but never experienced. I have lived in Europe most of my adult life and have travelled around the world. Plus 3 previous driving trips across the usa in the 1970's staying in motels. Don't know why I kept the bug. I had what was like several mosquito bites on my right side but being in a rush to continue my journey due to predicted snowstorms on the way, I left the hotel. There was no one at the desk when I departed in any case.
Ultimately I discovered about a dozen marks on my body from waist area to my ankles and the itching was horrendous. I am in any case highly allergic to most stings like bee and mosquito. I suffered for about 2 weeks until they all were finished whatever cycle of poison, inflammation and healing. I took many photographs of my wounds. I still have faint scars or marks on my fair skin.
Having now read a bit I am shocked that the formerly super clean and hygienic USA has become a filthy 3rd world country. Very Sad. I only stayed at the above mentioned motel as it was recommended by the owner of the last motel I stayed at in Montrose Colorado which was a Best Western. There I had no problem. But the Glenwood Springs place was a dump and for an equivalent price as many other motels I stayed at until the east coast, of 100% superiour quality.

I just called the hotel to confirm that on the day I left their hotel I had red macular spots on my neck and shoulders which progressed to my face and both arms. Over 50 bedbug bites identified. The picture attached is from the first day – they got progressively worse.
This has been confirmed by a Physician. The itching is unbelievable! Taking Benadryl, Solu- Medrol IM to control the welts and itching.
My husband observed blood spots on the sheets the first night we slept there but did not mention it or give it any thought. (wish he had). Now I am dealing with fumigating my entire luggage and preventing spread to my residence!
I suggested to the Hotel Operations Manager to block off the room and have it inspected so that no other person or persons will have to endure this “nightmare”.

We stayed at this hotel Dec 24th-27th 2009. We began noticing bites after the first night but it wasn't until two days later that we were COVERED in red blotchy bites that were swollen and itchy that we knew these were bed bugs. I am currently pregnant and the itching and swelling are extra unappreciated. We then examined the sheets and found blood spots all over them. We lifted the mattress, and voila, bed bugs. We caught one, killed it and brought it to the staff to show them. They were apologetic but did not seem overly concerned. They offered to wash our clothes for us.
We pressed how serious this was- how we felt they really shouldn't rent out the room until they dealt with the problem and they said they agreed, but as we left we saw the next person checking into our room (it's a tiny hotel and the rooms all have names, so we knew which room they were checking into).
Since returning home I have found several traveler reports of bed bugs at this hotel on trip adviser. This hotel is obviously neglecting a severe problem. They need to be reported and called out.
