I stayed at this hotel from May 7-10, 2017 in room 307. The hotel is overall quite nice and well-maintained, and the front desk staff is incredibly helpful. I did not have any bites on the first morning, but the second morning I woke up with itchy elbows. I believed the itch was from poison ivy (because I had done some gardening that weekend prior). The third morning, the itching was so bad it woke me up at 4 AM. I Googled "poison ivy" because the welts did not look like what I had experienced in the past. Photos of bedbug bites made it clear to me that this was what I had. I immediately left the bed, took a shower, and examined the bed closely. I saw bedbugs and the telltale "ink spots" in the corner of the headboard (which was a piece of foam covered in a white sheet). The bugs were moving and full of blood. I had already packed most of my things, which I always keep on a smooth surface, and I left the hotel. I have not yet heard from management. I have contacted them several times because I would like to know the extent of the bedbug infestation of the room. After 3 unreturned phone calls, I emailed their manager. I also contact the Cuyahoga County Public Health Department so that they have a record of a complaint from this hotel. They will follow up with me after an investigation.
