Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I woke up on my second morning at the crowne plaza (October 10th), covered in red itchy bites on both arms, on my face and neck, and a couple on my lower back where my PJ top met the bottoms. I didn't see any bugs, but still suspect bed bugs based on the numerous bites in lines, and the fact that they appeared suddenly overnight. I informed the front desk and got a "bites, like any bites?", and told her no, not like any bites, as I hadn't seen any bugs nor ants. To their credit she immediately called for someone, but I had to leave.
