06/08/2018 I stayed at a hotel last 2 nights and the first night noticed a bump on my arm. I thought maybe it was a mosquito bite because I couldn't sleep and walked outside for a few mins. After falling to sleep for almost an hour on the second night, I woke up scratching my leg. And on and off throughout the night til maybe 5am, I was in and out of my sleep itching and scratching noticing bumps and welps. I didn't see anything in bed with me until I raised the pillow I was laying my head on, and saw a few "bed bugs"! I was ready to go at that moment but did not have the energy to drive, remind u ,I hadn't really rested for 2 nights and still had a 6 hour commute to work a 14 hour shift the following day. So I decided to leave my bags in room and inform management of the issue at the same time was able to collect one of the bugs in a cup. I showed front desk clerk the bed bug and bites all over my body and asked to speak with management and also asked to fill out a injury report. He said I had to wait for manager to arrive in a few hours. And he kept bug I collected. I asked to at least to be placed in another room while I waited (wasn't offered) because I was too tired to leave. Still could not sleep so I went to checkout I asked another clerk for injury report and manager and was denied. I have a recording &pics and an employee told me that he has been telling managers about bed bug issue but they wont do anything about it. After I left daytime clerk called and offered a cash refund for the room. I denied because at this point I was having a mental breakdown and told her I need to speak with management because the hotel should be liable for what I was going through. I was itching real bad and At first I was too embarrassed to seek medical attention for bites all over my arms and on my forehead that I sat parked at a gas station for an hour trying to calm down and eventually went to Urgent care.
