Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

July 23, 2017 - woke to feeling something crawling on my thigh. Crushed it and it was full of blood. Then saw another of the same bug in the bed . Called the front desk and the clerk came right away with one of the housekeepers. The house keeper immediately identified it as a bed bug. We pulled up the mattress and did not see any other bugs but am sure they have friends who are hidden away. The front desk clerk told us that the room we were in had had an infestation about 7 months prior but it had been treated. They refunded our money and gave us plastic bags to put our belongings in. YUCK! Lots of heat, powder and 91% alcohol later I am still worried they could get in my house. My husband has LOTS of bites.
