I found bed bugs on my daughters bed within two weeks of moving into an apartment. I have lived at the same address with an exception of the apt number for over 3 years. I lived in apt 114 and never had a problem. I moved in 109 and Charter house accused me of bringing the bedbugs. I bought brand new beds 4 months prior and never had bedbugs before. I called management and they had a pest control company come and inspect and said there was nothing, no bed bugs, no eggs, no feces. As of February 20th my fiancé/boyfriend who has been living here 7 years found 12 live ones on his bed when he was changing the bedding. Now the apartment complex management blamed the bed bugs on me, they are holding us responsible for the expenses of new beds, treatment and they want us to use their company who already said they found nothing. How do I get help? I am on Disability, my daughter is 12 and my boyfriend and I are fighting constantly, the superintendent harasses me. he knocked on my door when he saw my boyfriend/roommate leave, and said he would not be doing any maintenance in my apartment because "I have bedbugs"
