On November 9, 2016, at approximately 12:30AM, I noticed a minuscule bug crawling on the duvet. I was in room # 306. I captured the bug with a tissue and was very concerned since I knew it was a bedbug, probably in the nymph stage. The bug was very tiny, pretty transparent and had a black (red?) area at the end of it. Telltale signs of a bedbug. I started looking around and found another bedbug behind the pillow I had just been using. I captured this on and photographed it. The front desk clerk said the hotel was sold out and sister properties were also sold out. There was no way I would stay in this hotel in any area and after telling the clerk this and that I would most likely have to try and sleep in the rental car or just stay up all night the clerk checked another Hampton Inn over 20 miles away in Davenport. This placed me quite far away from my work commitment for the next day (it was about 12:45am by this point. The GM was apparently called on the phone but refused to speak with me and I consider this to be resistant management. I ended up throwing away my clothes and suitcase that was being used during this trip since I was concerned and worried about bringing these items into my on home.
