We have been staying at multiple hotels due to my husbands job, every time we get a room I do full check for bed bugs, pull up the sheets check the seams on the mattress, pull the bed away from the wall and check headboards, drawers, EVERYTHING. We are also traveling with our dog who gets regular trips to the groomer to make sure she does not catch anything while in these rooms. On Nov 5th we checked into franklin inn expecting to stay for multiple weeks. I did my routine check for bed bugs and found nothing. That night both me and my husband were bitten. We had a room with two beds so the second night we switched beds and were bitten again. Both of us has an allergic reaction the the bites which made them very swollen and red. The hotel moved us to another room and bombed our old one. We had kindly written a letter addressing the experience we had and brought it to the front desk. Today Nov 9th I received a call from the front desk asking me to come down and talk to them. As soon as I walked up I was very rudely attacked by the front desk attendant, she accused my dog of having fleas because the room had been rented the night before we got there and there were no issues. We have now gone to a vet and had our dog thoroughly checked and have vet documents saying she is free from fleas and external parasites. DOG DOES NOT HAVE FLEAS!! This establishment had bed bugs upon our arrival and is now trying to play the blame game and not accepting responsibility for their infestation.
