Wednesday, Oct 26, 2016 between the hours of 3am-6am. I slept in a room at this hotel. A few hours later, I noticed a bug crawling on the bedsheet cover. I took a photo of it and it definitely was a bedbug. I was about to put it into a towel and take it to the front desk for them to see, but decided it might not be a good idea in case the bug fell off, or if there were eggs I couldn't see. So instead, I dumped it into the toilet and didn't flush. I immediately requested a different room. Dave at the front desk promptly came down to deliver the new key. I showed him the bedbug in the toilet, and the photo. He mentioned the possibility of the room having bugs because it's a pet room, however he agreed this wasn't a flea. I requested a refund, and he advised he'd contact the hotel manager to discuss it. When I arrived downstairs to turn in the other key, Dave was speaking to another front desk employee. This employee was not courteous about my situation as Dave had been. She was rude and condescending, gave me a nasty look and immediately told me I would NOT receive a "free night" (which wasn't what I asked for), and also proceeded to tell me there were hotels all over the city for me to choose from. I chose that hotel because it was affordable, close to my home, and I thought it was a good hotel. The way the woman at the front desk treated me sealed the deal for me to never stay at that hotel again.
