Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

When I moved in I got bites. Have never encountered bed bugs before so I thought it might be the gnats that were flying around in my apartment when I moved in. After a while,I just treated my carpet and bed with diatomaceous earth and essential oil sprays just to be sure. Then I got no bites for a few months. After living there for 7 months I started to get bit again. I reached out to landlord to tell him about it. They did respond immediately with sending out Plunckett bug extermination to inpect. And did send me email that they had found bed bugs. They scheduled an extermination. But they did not let me know I was to pay for it! They sent me a letter telling me I had to pay $1200 for the extermination, after the fact. I cannot prove the bugs where there when I moved in because I did not document anything. Watch out for bed bugs in Amrock apartments. PRG will let you move in and then charge you when you report!!
