Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I visually saw the bed bug, collected it in a cup and as requested gave to hotel employee. There were no managers available, so one had to be contacted and then she called me back. She told me that they never had them before and would have to give the specimen to someone to see if it was a bed bug. Even after my father , son, and husband had bites and showing staff, they still would not believe me. At that point I decided to call the corporate office to report the situation. I'm so glad I did because they gave me a case # and told me the steps they would take to handle it. Now we have to take all these crazy precautions, there are 7 of us and there were 3 rooms with them.
