Reserved room 9,16,2016 Heard about bedbugs. Called lodge and was told they were bedbug free. Upon arrival we insisted on checking room first. Room 209. 2 double beds and a bunk bed. first bed inside door. Pulled back sheets one at a time. Had a mattress cover. Lifted mattress and a bedbug ran across the bed. Caught it on lint roller we bought to check room with. Given refund but that leaves us with no room and 4 kids

6-22-2019 We were at the cabin from 6/18-22/19 I had been getting bit in sporadically all over my body but didn't think anything of it since I was outside most of the time, hiking, playing Frisbee golf and hanging out by the campfire at night. It wasn't until the morning of 6-22 that I saw a string of bites going up and down my right arm that I realized there could possibly be bedbugs. When my husband and i search, we saw 2 adult bugs on the box springs and a nit. We also saw blood stains on the casing around the mattress that had been tucked in between the mattress and the box springs. We requested that housekeeping come over to check it out and they confirmed the bed bugs. Using their flashlights they saw several bedbugs on the headboard. They were very responsive to us. They gave us heavy duty black bags to put our items in and some boxes to pack up our food. They also gave us a container of rubbing alcohol in a spritzer bottle and allowed us to take it home. They offered us an opportunity to stay the last night in the lodge but we refused. We did not feel clean and did not want to risk bringing them into the building by spending the night. The hotel reimbursed us for the entire stay. Their staff was great. It redeemed them in our eyes.
