My husband and I checked in to Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Northwest on Sunday, May 29, 2016, for a one-night stay. We arrived at the room in the evening after a day of driving to Dallas from out of state. We had stopped along the way to eat, but we did not spend time outdoors or in any place we could have gotten bug bites. We went to bed almost immediately after arriving to the hotel. Throughout the night, we were both itching. In fact, my husband said the itching kept waking him up. By the time we got up in the morning, we both were covered with bites on our backs, legs, bottoms, and armpits. As I mentioned, when we arrived to the hotel, we had no bug bites. We have photos of the bites. When we checked out and told the assistant manager on duty, he dismissed our concern and said they didn\'t have bed bugs. We also called hotels.com to express our concern, because we had booked the room through them. The representative from hotels.com called the hotel and asked them about our concern and to see if they would issue a refund. The hotel left the hotels.com rep on hold for so long that they considered the hotel non-responsive and instead of waiting to see if they would issue a refund, hotels.com apologized and issued us a $80 voucher for hotels.com instead.
