We booked several rooms for a senior adult group trip and one of our rooms on the first floor had bedbugs (our other rooms did not. I didn't notice the room number since my room was upstairs.) The first desk clerk we reported it to was rude and unconcerned and said that no one could help us except the manager who wasn't there yet. When asked if we could move to another room, they said their policy does not allow that because the bedbugs could move along with the occupants. When the manager arrived, she called the exterminator and told us to wash everything that had been in that room. The hotel refunded money for the one room and paid for the clothes to be washed. The exterminator was very knowledgeable and helpful. He said we should have just put all the clothes in the hotel's commercial dryer instead of washing them, so we did. Suitcases, shoes and other un-washable items were sealed up in garbage bags. During this 3-hour delay to our group's itinerary, we had to wait in the hotel dining area. Hotel staff did not offer us anything to drink or eat or anything else to help our seniors feel more comfortable; however, the manager was pleasant and apologetic.
