Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Woke up itchy and over the course of the next day, at least 25 bites appeared, some HUGE welts that broke open. Arms, hands and chest. I reported it to the management and have heard nothing back after a week. The bites have lost some swelling but I still have to cover them with band-aids on my hands since I am so embarassed how they look.

During the NAIAS Industry Preview the week of 1/6 through 1/13 a group of employees from Asia and Europe booked rooms at this hotel. 2 people (in different rooms) had to see a doctor for welts all over their arms, neck and legs. The welts looked like mosquito bites and red blisters. Their doctors confirmed these were bed bug bites. Pictures show this must be a severe bed bug infestation.

Bed bug bites confirmed by doctor after staying here from 1/7/17 to 1/13/17. Also have 4 other colleagues staying and 2 of 4 reported having a rash when they returned to Asia. This group came in for the Auto Show.

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
