Bedbug Reviews

I was cleaning my hotel room and found an itchy bumb on my arm. I was making the one bed and didn't notice anything. I went to make the other bed and found a pretty large bug crawling around. So immediately took a video on my phone and went to the front desk. The manager went to my room and look and all he did was offer 10% off and a new room. So in my new room on a new floor I felt a little bit at ease. Until I woke up the next morning. I woke up with 2 bites, not just one from the night before. Now having 3 bites from these rooms, I went back to the manger and he said he wasn't going to do anything about it. I feel disgusted and repulsed. I have food here and tons of luggage.

I stayed at this hotel from Thursday-Sunday 1/2/2020-1/5/2020. There were other concerns with this hotel, but the one to which this complaint refers is in regards to the bedbugs that are in the room. 1. Upon check in, I did a spot check and didn't notice any obvious signs of a bedbug infestation. I do this at all hotels now, as I have been affected twice previously in the past 5 years and am mildly reactionary (besides not wanting to bring them home!). It is clear now my inspection needs to be more thorough next time. 2. On Friday evening, I noticed 2 bites, one on each of my arms. As there were only 2, I was not going to assume they were bedbugs as I had seen other flying insects near the water cooler and they could have been from them. 3. On Saturday evening, I noticed at least 10 more bites in the tell-tale lines bedbugs form - on both arms and along my neck. This is how I typically react and they do take a few hours to show up, so I knew then it was bedbugs. 4. Upon returning to the hotel that evening, I was going to inform the front desk so they knew of the issue, but there was a heated discussion occurring between the front desk worker and another guest. 5. As I knew there was nothing they (or I) could do at that point, I slept one more night in the room. ** The reason for this is that switching to another room may only have allowed the bedbugs to spread as they might have been in my sleep clothes and transferred that way. I did not want to spread the bugs, and I needed to sleep, so I did ** 6. In the morning at check out, I showed the bites to the staff on duty and received a reaction along the lines of "Oh, ok, thank you, we will look at it." No apology, no sense of urgency, and no reassurance that it would actually be resolved. I did not have the time to stay and insist upon anything, so I left and submitted information to them in writing after I got home.
