Bedbug Reviews

Anonymous

I have pictures of the apartment with bed bugs and my bites. I first noticed a couple of itchy bites and then noticed many neighbors (not even in the same building) throwing new looking furniture out. Then, the moment of truth, I found one crawling on a shirt in a clear ziplock bag that was not zipped. So I inspected thinking maybe it was a cockroach, and on further inspection (and some research), the sinking truth: a bed bug! I immediately called the front office so they could do what they do. It took them at least a couple of weeks to send someone out to "confirm," but in the meantime I began to search and take pictures of my findings. They were EVERYWHERE! In the mattresses, on the walls hiding in the paint cracks, in the ceiling paint, and just everywhere. With my bite count and anxiety increasing, I began to really complain at the front office. When an "exterminator" finally showed up, he clarified that they were in fact bed bugs and directed me to bag everything I could and move everything (bags and furniture everything) to the middle of the rooms, three feet from the walls before he returning the following week (they only do this on Thursdays is what I was told). So now not only am I suffering with bed bugs, but all my belongings piled in the middle of each room. By the time he returned, he stated that I didn't do everything that he said and told me that every pillow needed to be in a bag and he'd be back the following week! I demanded something be done sooner, but finally moved out leaving all belongings except clothes that I bagged and washed and dried at the laundromat. Within a week and a half of moving, several of the bites I already had, became swollen and red and I had to go to the ER with a diagnosis of cellulitis due to bug bites.
