1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

My boyfriend booked a hotel room at Super 8 for a short weekend trip away. He is always weary of bed bugs, and checks every room before staying the night. Within 5 minutes of being in the room he was able to find bug bugs and feces on the mattress and bed frame of the bed. The have a very distinct look from other bugs, and undeniable what he saw was a bed bug. He immediately left and was refunded. This morning he followed up with management to see if they were going to exterminate the room. They are denying the infestation, and have made no efforts to contact exterminators. YOU ARE AT RISK STAYING AT THIS HOTEL. DO NOT BOOK!

Found a bed bug when first moving into the room. It was on the wall near the headboard. Took the bed bug down to the front desk where they reimbursed me. Then management called later and was extremely rude and accusatory, telling me the room was bed bug free. I found a bed bug in the room and their worker at the front desk agreed it was a bed bug! And they still had the nerve to say the room was bed bug free! Looking up reviews on yelp and other websites this has been a problem for them before.
