Bedbug Reviews

On 11-2-22, while laying on her bed, my daughter felt something crawling on her. My wife saw that it was a bug , picked it off of her and took it to the bathroom sink. On first look it appeared to be a bedbug. Looking it up on Google, it looked just like the picture. I called the front desk told the male clerk that we found a bedbug and would like a change of rooms. He questioned me saying, "You found a bug?". I told him it was a bedbug and I wanted a change of rooms. He told me they were sold out so there were no rooms available. I then asked to speak to the manager. He said the manager was out. I told him to have the manager call asap. When the manager called, I explained what we found and asked to have a room change. She said she would have to find one and would call me back. After a few minutes she called and said we would be moving to room 728 and asked if we wanted our clothes and suitcases heat treated. I told her we had a lot of things so I would ask my wife and daughter and let her know. She also advised me to go to the security office to file a report. A bellman came up with the new keys and asked if we needed assistance in moving and explained if we were going to heat treat our things we needed to leave only clothing, no toiletries. We then tried to figure out how to get all non-heat treated things to the new room. I then called down to ask for bags to put our things in since we had to leave our suitcases in the room. We were going out to have dinner so I stopped at the front desk to ask what will happen to our luggage. I was told it would take about an hour and when done our luggage would be taken to our new room. We stayed out at least 3 hours and upon returning found 2 carry-ons and no luggage. I called the front desk to ask and was put in touch with the belldesk. The bell an said everything was done except for one suitcase and ot would be 15-30 minutes. I asked for the treated luggage and asked to have the last piece sent up when done. About 5 minutes later, ALL of the luggage was delivered. This made me think the last piece of luggage was treated properly and whether all of our luggage was treated at all. Overall, I think this situation should have been handled better. This is my opinion: 1. The clerk who first took my call sounded as if he didn't know what a bedbug was. 2. I was told that they were sold out so no rooms were available because the clerk thought it was just a "bug". 3. More thought should have been given to lending assistance when moving since we had to leave half of our things in the room to be treated. 4. I am not comfortable with the heat treatment process. 5. Lastly, I would think management would have offered at the least a discount on our room or at best comped it. We stayed 4 nights; 3 were comped beforehand.

I woke up from my first night staying here and had 3 bedbug bites on my leg. I woke up Nov 11th with them when I had no previous bites the day before. I told staff and they got me a new room. I am a bit paranoid to even sleep in the new bed.
