On 03/31/22 between 8:30pm-9:30pm. I reported bed bugs in room 330. When I checked into the room it smelled horrible. As I went to take a nap I found bed bugs behind the pillow. The bed bug bites lead to skin inflammation and aggravation. I reported the incident to the receptionist and was moved to another room 327. The fear of there being more bed bugs wouldn’t allow me to get comfortable. I requested a refund through customer care and the receptionist called me, demanding I hurry and get my stuff and get out before she changes her mind about the refund. I requested 30mins to pack because I had 4 days of luggage. She said I should have packed when I changed rooms. During the room transition, I moved my belongings in sections, since the room was across the hall. I did not pack any thing. When asked if I could speak with the manager. I was told no and the receptionist hung up the phone up on me. This has been the most uncomfortable experience I ever had at IHG. I felt as though I retaliated against for reporting the bed bugs and was threatening to leave the premises immediately or I would be charged for the night. When I requested to speak to the manager, I was told “no” and the receptionist hung the phone up on me.
