My brother and I are both seniors. We spent the night there at Best Western, Coleman TX on May 14, 2016. We shared a room with two beds to save money. We left the next morning to our residence's in NM several hundred miles away. That evening the 15th, I noticed extreme itching on my left ankle that had several bites (yes, I took photos). The following day there were yet more bites, the day after that even more . My brother also had bites. By getting online, we became worried about Bed Bugs and called ORKIN Pest Control. Their Inspector came, checked both of our homes and found that my home and my brother's home as well now had bed bugs. We are currently undergoing an exhausting, MASSIVE cleaning and preparation for the treatment process next week. This is going to cost us both a huge financial fortune not to mention the hard work involved for people our age.! We can only PRAY that the treatment works and the Bed Bugs stay gone and don't come back. We have been told by ORKIN Pest Control that they are very difficult to exterminate. II called and spoke with the office personal at the Coleman Texas Hotel. I told him that they had bed bugs in their hotel and that I was disputing the credit card purchase and would NOT pay for that room. He simply said "okay"...he KNEW they had a bed bug infestation...he never denied it nor claimed they didn't know or said they would get an inspector or work on treatment. The man was rude and could have cared less about any trouble the bed bugs would cause us! Hotels should be held responsible for situations like this when they KNOWENINGLY cause so much grief, worry and financial loss to their customers. The state's around the USA should regulate better, inspect more and close down hotels that are contaminated like this! Next I'm turning this in to the Department Of Health! HOTEL TRAVELERS...BEWARE!

My brother and I are from New Mexico and were traveling through the area and stayed the night in this hotel. Bed bugs are not common in New Mexico so we were not suspicious of them or checking the beds, The next morning we both noticed itching on our ankles and legs on the way home. Several days later, I bought bug spray but continues getting bites and so did my brother. I called ORKIN and the inspector found Bed Bugs in my home and my brothers as well. The "prep" involved to get rid of them is HUGE including washing every article of clothing in the room. I had them in my Master bedroom, my brother had them in his master as well as his den. The problem and expense has been difficult and the Hotel Chain as well as the Hotel manager have been ZERO help. The hotel denies having them and unsuspected travelers are taking them home with them to infect their homes as we did. Warning...DO NOT stay in the Best Western Hotel in Colman Texas! They do indeed have Bed Bugs and need to be shut down until the problem is resolved.
