Aug 19th 2023 myself & two girlfriends and my toddler stayed here after spending the day exploring Frankenmuth. I can't remember our original room number but it was in the 2nd floor & we requested a new room because there were blood stains on the bedding & toothpaste smeared in the bathroom & hair in the tub. They moved us to room 309 which on the surface seemed clean. We only stayed the one night, on the 20th upon waking up we saw a bug on one of the pillows which looked like a bed bug, i squished it with a baby wipe and it was filled with blood. We freaked out, packed up (we were scheduled to check out anyhow) and we left. We told the lady at the front desk and she didnt look surprised by the news and very nonchalantly said I'll let management know. Upon getting home i took extra precaution and put all luggage/pack n play in the garage, all clothing went straight to the washing machine and i showered and bathed my son. After my shower i inspected our bodies for bites and between the 20th and 21st i counted 50 bites on my body. I had them on my feet, legs, arms, butt, neck i was completely eaten alive. Fortunately my son (who didn't stay in the hotel bed) did not have any. In one sense i was glad to have seen the bedbug that morning otherwise i probably would have brought them into my home and not taken as many precautions as i did. On the 21st i bought bed bug spray and sprayed all the luggage and pack n play in the garage and have left it all out there since. I also vacuumed my car out and sprayed that down too. Since the incident no new bites have appeared and most of the existing ones have healed. I believe i managed to avoid bringing them home but i will never stay at this hotel again and i have a hard time believing they are not infested with the amount of bites i had after only one night. Ive also noticed on google a recent review from someone else mentioning bed bugs so its obviously a problem and they need to address it.
