Weekend of 9/10/16. For 199$ a night there was no hot water at 10pm, nor was there hot water at 2am. Wasn't corrected until late the next morning. I thought I was itching all night because I wasn't able to shower. I never saw any bugs, until I got home. Not knowing anything about bedbugs really, I thought my dog brought in a flea. Then the nightly itching started. I felt like there were crumbs in my bed. I kept changing my sheets. It wasn't until I put light colored sheets on my bed did I realize I had bed bugs. This was the first hotel I had stayed in, in years. I usually stay with family. Color me the ignorant consumer but when you pay that kind of money to stay in, what you would consider to be, a reputable hotel. You shouldn't have to pack a magnifin glass and ultraviolet light, so that you can go hunting for parasites.

1/12/2024 We stayed this hotel at Room 234 for one night. I waked up once at night but did not realize what happened. At the second day after we checked out, I feel itching at my neck and find several bits on my neck and lower jaw. I thought I was allergy for some food at Kentucky. However soon I found more bumps and bits on my arm and my leg and my face. I talked with my husband who stayed in the same bed with me, and he found bits and bump at his shoulder and back neck as well. At that moment, I am sure we were bitten by the bed bug in the hotel we just stayed, Holiday Inn University Plaza- Bowling Green, Room 234 the bed close to the window. I am not sure if we brought any bed bug home. I started washing my clothes and bedding with hot water and put the staff outside. I have to put some chemicals to kill the potential bed bugs in my home. This is extremely stressful!!! I do not know what's next step and what I will face. I contacted the hotel, and they said their manager will contact me. I told them there are bed bugs for sure at room 234 to avoid further spread and treat it immediately. No one follow up with me so far. I have to pack my staffs and dry clean the rest.
