This is being reported as it is very concerning of how management and the Best Western entity in general is handling this situation. My friend and I checked in to the hotel on Friday, 11/18 and checked out on Monday, 11/21. We were not aware of bed bugs at this time. We flew back to Seattle right after checking out of the hotel. On Thursday, 11/24 (Thanksgiving Day), both my friend and I experienced extreme swelling and saw visible bite marks all over our bodies. Note that we live in two separate homes so the case that both our homes were infested with bed bugs is unlikely. We both went to urgent care and were diagnosed with bed bug bites. We called the hotel and spoke to the general manager, Tracey Gulli after multiple attempts to reach her and voicemails. She was not understanding or EMPATHETIC to our situation at all. She even lied to me by stating that bed bugs usually bite in the lower extremities. She stated that she would have Pest Control come in to investigate the situation and call us back with the status. She NEVER called back. We even called Best Western customer care to file a complaint, but they closed the case. We left Tracy a VM (when she didn't call follow-up with us) that we would be taking legal action. Apparently, their insurance company advised her not to call us back. Therefore, Best Western corporate can't do anything about this since it is up to the discretion of management at the individual hotel.
