Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I stayed at the Wingate two nights, June 18-20, 2015. I woke up with a couple few bites on Friday. Never had bed bug bites so I thought they were mosquito bites. Spent another night on Friday, June 19th and woke up Friday June 20th with bites on my face, arms, back wrists, shoulders, etc. I googled bed bug bites and my bites are were just like to pictures. Horrible experience!! I have reported it to the hotel chain but nothing has been done at this time.

July 26th 2017. Woke up due to feeling stings on my legs. Looked on the covers, found a live bed bug. Took the bug to the front desk and showed my whelps. Asked for a new room but the hotel was sold out and it was 3am. I asked for an alcohol wipe but the clerk couldn't find one. He gave me a anti itch cream from the first aide kit. Couldn't sleep for the remaining hours. Currently waiting to speak to the manager who will return in a few hours. My legs have red swollen whelps. Now I have to make sure and take precautions to prevent their bedbugs from infesting my home. So unbelievable annoyed.
