Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On 10-30-2021 at approximately 1030 pm while laying in the bed watching tv, I noticed a black spot (bed bug) on the white pillow next to me slightly moving. I immediately took a picture of the bed bug and then covered it with a room glass, so when the Embassy Suites staff goes to inspect the room, the bed bug would be visible. I immediately packed my belongings , put my clothes on and went downstairs to report the bed bug sighting to the front desk. I told and showed pictures to the young lady and requested another room. I eventually got room 725. Iâ€™m a pilot with American Airlines and in my many of years staying in hotels, this is the 1st time Iâ€™ve actually seen a bed bug in person. I hope this problem will be taken seriously and dealt with promptly , itâ€™s very important that our flight crews be able to get sufficient rest during our layovers.
