We checked into the hotel yesterday (4/3 about 1 p.m.) afternoon after a full day at the zoo. After arriving to our room we inspected the beds and found dirty, makeup stained, sheets. I called the front desk and requested clean sheets. After the dirty sheets were removed, my husband and I noticed yellow stains and hair matted into the mattress pads. And when we flipped the mattress pad, there was a BED BUG!!!! We immediately gathered our things and left, cutting our vacation a full day short. The manager at the front desk refunded our stay, but was more concerned about assuring us it wasn't a bed bug (her argument was she worked in hotels before and knew what they looked like). She handed us a cup, with the bug in it, to compare it with online pictures of bed bugs. And it looked just like what I was seeing online. REGARDLESS, we were arguing about the species of bug, THAT WAS LIVING IN OUR BED!!! AND our bed came with stained sheets, yellow stained mattress pad, and that mattress pad was matted hair literally woven into it. I wish I'd taken a picture of the bed bug we found, but we just wanted to get out as soon as possible. I've never seen a hotel bed this disgusting. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority, and I would warn travelers to steer clear.
