Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

From: The south. Take Interstate 101 north and exit at Santa Monica Road at the stop sign make a right. Just 1 block down at the stop sign make another right turn. Go over the freeway and you will see the Best Western Carpinteria Inn on your left - you can't miss it. ·From: The north. Take Interstate 101 south and exit at Reynolds and proceed down the off ramp. Make a right onto Carpinteria Avenue. The Best Western Carpinteria Inn is on your right - you can't miss it.

November 11/12/18 Our room had 2 queen beds- my mom and I were going to bed and she pulled the pillows to arrange them and out came a bedbug- We captured it in a cup Then we saw little ones climbing around. We called down to the front desk and she reported the maintenance man went home for the night. I told her I have pictures and videos of bed bugs climbing around on the bed. I quickly researched on the internet and could see they matched the apple seed shape and color- She apologized and offered to change our room. I did not want to stay in any other room- we asked for a full refund and we were leaving - we were ready for bed and it was past 10 o'clock - however, we were not going to stay in the hotel. She said she couldn’t authorize a refund but would leave a note for the management for the morning- I took pictures and video- I tried to post them here but I am unable. We went to another hotel for the night- it was very hard to settle down after that and trust that the hotel we currently In was clean of any bugs-
