April 25, 2018 - May 9, 2018 We told management about the problem on either May 1st, or May 2nd, and they checked our room and said it was clear and the owner said, "we no bed bugs here," and didn't give us a new room. Yesterday (May 9th) we located 8 bed bugs and showed them to management and they denied that they were bed bugs, lied to us and tried to convince us that the bugs had wings, which they did not, then proceeded to try and throw them out. He offered us a new room but after being lied to and not offered a new room the first time I wasnt interested. Finding physical evidence of bed bugs was the last straw - I did not want another room I wanted my money back in full and they refused. his exact words were, "What money?" Told him then that I would sue and walked away. 30 minutes later an employee knocks on our door and tells us that we need to check out and that we could get a 1 or 2 day refund. It took us a while to pack up our stuff and by that time the front desk was closed so we left and havent checked out yet but we're not interested in a partial refund. Now we are on our way to the health department and do plan on suing. Two weeks of bed bugs is unacceptable, and their handling of the situation was completely unprofessional and unethical.
