We arrived at Super 8 in Waynesboro, VA for a late check in on 5/29/2017. The room looked clean but had a musty smell. I woke up at about 4:45 in the morning itching and burning on my neck and arm. I looked and could see bites and they were puffy and swelling. I pulled the covers completed off the bed and killed to bed bugs on the sheet! I called front desk immediately and he said they would send someone up. After no one came I was already crying and upset I went down to find them trying to hide from me and I had to yell for them to come up front. I showed him the bites and told him we were going to shower and leave immediately. He told me they would not charge me for the room but never came up to see the ones I killed. I was so upset and made sure I went through every item before we left as I did not want to take this crap with me! I am still burning and itching and haven't felt well all day! So upset and what everyone to know before they book this hotel.

I called front desk immediately and he said they would send someone up. After know one came I was already crying and upset I went down to find them trying to hide from me and I had to yell for them to come up front. I showed him the bites and told him we were going to shower and leave immediately. He told me they would not charge me for the room but never would come up to check the room. We checked in around 11pm on Friday 7/20/18 and immediately checked both beds, pillows, under the mattresses, etc. We did not notice anything until after being in bed around 30 minutes. We found 3 bed bugs total all in the same bed closest to the window. When management was alerted, they insisted they had never had any reports before. It did not seem like an infestation, but bugs were definitely bed bugs and were full of blood when squished.
