5/30/2021 Room: 50 7:30am We drove to PA to visit family over the holiday weekend and checked into the Red Rose Hotel. After the children woke on Sunday morning I noticed bedbugs on the bottom pillow of the bed they were sleeping on, they were on the pillowcase and sheet, the bugs were also climbing on the wall and ceiling. A nest of them were in the corner of the pillow case. I was outraged! I called the office, an attendant was on duty but the manger would not arrive until 11am. The attendant at first refused to walk over and look at the nest of bedbugs until 11am. I called again very upset that I needed someone to take a look at the nest as a witness on the bed on the pillow case. The children and I needed to leave the room immediately, we were not staying in the room until 11am. The attendant finally arrived to room 50 looked at the evidence and agreed that they would refund my payment and shut the room down. My two children have bug bites on their necks, back and legs. I was extremely upset. Our vacation consisted of finding a place to wash all our clothes twice and dry on high heat. We needed to use facilities in a small town where not many were close. Two children crying 6 & 4 years of age in a laundry matt with no restroom & needing showers. It was a mess. I’m so upset I could sue...this is outrageous and disgusting. I have NEVER dealt with bedbugs in my life and so help me God these things are not traveling with us back Home to Maryland. After researching, I realized these bugs have been nesting for 12 months in the hotel, they are fully grown. How in the world have these sheets not been washed that long? You can see the dark spots where they were clustered. This did not happen overnight these nasty creatures were nested in that location for months..This is uncalled for. I may take this to court, as a mother I’m cringing that my two children were exposed to these creatures and bitten..
