Checked in on 1/26/2020 into Room #315. Was laying in the bed watching TV and around 1:00a.m. noticed something crawling across the bed by my leg. At that point I jumped up and turned the light on to get a better look and sure enough it was a bedbug! Grabbed a towel and killed it and left it laying there for the people to see. Called down to the front desk and told them about it. The front desk lady came up to the room and I showed it to her and she said she would put me in another room. So got my stuff together and went back down to the front desk and she put me in another room and said she left a note for management and asked me to just check the other room and management will discuss it with me at checkout. She had also informed that a previous customer had recently complained about them and they ended up having to switch their room 3 different times and the lady said they had treated that room after that, but apparently it didn't help. I was able to stay in the room they switched me to, but of course I did not sleep comfortably because of the fact I kept feeling like something was crawling on me. When I checked out the next morning the management ended up giving me a refund of 50% and apologized and she told me that "they had never had any complaints before about bedbugs we are not that kind of hotel!" Well to be quite honest I find it very hard to believe that considering the 3rd shift workers told about the recent incident about my same exact room. So I just didn't even say anything about what the worker had told me about their previous incident because I didn't want to get the lady in trouble for telling me that. I have also researched the hotel and sure enough it had been on the news before and had been shutdown for them before. Needless to say I will not be staying at this hotel again not only because of the bedbugs, but also because of being lied to about their bedbug history.

9/01/23 Upon inspection I saw 2 bedbugs on the bed. Had just arrived so I left immediately. Spoke and reported it with desk person, she said I had to speak with manager in the morning.

March 24-26 2024 Microtel Inn & Suite in Lillington NC. I reported seeing of the Bed Bugs in first & third rooms. Which I ask to move twice due to seeing Bed Bugs crawling around the wall from bathroom first nights stay. When moved to second room, going through a inspection saw the window frame broken. The upper right corner had a gap of 6 in long by 2 inch deep. You could put two fingers outside of. As well debris around the trim including crusty excrement which looked like more bugs. I told the staff to move me. I couldn't sleep in that room. There's a 2 in cracked window cracked with cobwebs and Bugs all in it. Spoke to manager very first time. Early morning day about hotel having Bed Bugs and Or bugs in general. She told me she had heard of the complaint and the hotel was on it! She looked into it already. Obviously she was trying to make this go away and make it not a problem for her or the hotel. I did not get a sorry for the inconvenience or is something we can do for you . Nothing like a helpful solution toward a patron. Later that day took a nap and Bed Bugs were crawling down the wall out from picture frames. By now I have decided I can't take it anymore and went to a doctor to check me. 6:30 on March 25 The room was full of active Bed Bugs all stages showed some photos to staff as manager would not make herself available. This room had the most active Bed Bug, I have ever seen in my life in a hotel. Reported to desk that in hopes to get out of the room into another better location. Manager told me by phone back to me she was not going to move me this late due to I didn't tell her I wanted to move that morning 4 hours prior. The hotel was not busy, it had not been full the entire time. I showed the photos taken at that point to desk and they shared with manager. I can see the entire staff is trained to avoid these situations. However It is a enormous expense for someone to have put on them.
