Bed bugs...yes, that's right. We stayed here from Friday (10/14/16) to 2 am. on Saturday (10/15/16) at which time we were woken up in beds full of bed bugs. Here's what happened: We came up to Prescott for a family reunion. We've stayed at the Comfort Suites in Prescott Valley for years; dozens of visits without incident. However, this visit at 2:00 a.m. this morning we were awaken by our beds and persons being covered in BED BUGS!!! We spent the next 6 hours bagging our washable items, going to Walmart to buy a new outfit for each person to put on while all our clothes were being washed, moving to another room to shower - there was NO WAY we were sleeping there, and then spending the rest of our morning at the laundromat. When we returned to the hotel wanting to be reimbursed for the clothes and the items we had to leave behind, they refused. They said that by simply "turning up the heat" in the room it would kill the bugs and we could then take home our unwashables. We called Truly Nolan and spoke to a technician named Robbie who said there's NO WAY that would work, temperatures must reach 120 degrees to kill bed bugs. He recommend not bringing home our luggage as there was no way to be sure that it would be bug free. We offered the phone to Manager so she could hear what this licensed professional was saying. She refused, saying they have their own pest control who said this would work. Comfort Suites Manager, Ellen, said that they would handle this with their pest control and that they would not be reimbursing us no matter what. They SAW the bugs everywhere, we took pictures, we killed one that was on my wife and blood squirted everywhere - we baggied up this bug and the tissue we squished him with - disgusting!!! They didn't care and still don't care - they're putting all their guests at risk. My wife announced to the guests in the breakfast area that we had bed bugs in our room and were doing nothing to treat it as we were escorted out of the building. We don't wish this nightmare on ANYONE - my wife is now sick and refuses to travel after this experience. This was truly a nightmare.
