9/22/2017 checked into hotel about 730 pm & left shortly to get dinner. Came back to room 111 & was preparing for my meeting on the 23rd & noticed something moving on the pillow. It wasn't a flea but was small & looked tan or reddish. I tried to kill it with my nails & it was difficult to kill. I saw another & then looked to make sure nothing was on the bed. Turned out the light & felt like something bit my face. I turned on light & saw another on my pillow. I was so disgusted with the filth I called at 130 in the morning to front desk. She came right away taking pictures & I showed her the filth in my room & dirty used blanket in drawer. She said for me to pack my things. I was loading my car when she called to tell me to come to the lobby. I went up to the lobby & she told me about 2 am I was being sent to the Comfort Inn down the road & my card when I checked into Comfort Inn would be voided. She said to make sure I showered & changed my clothes right away when I get to the other hotel. I made it to the Comfort Inn where the girl checking me in apologized for what I had encountered & said they had no bed bugs at their hotel but hoped I didn't get them in my luggage. I got to my room & began to undress feeling disgusted & crawly. I threw out my clothes I was wearing at the other hotel & took a shower. I finally was trying to get sleep around 4am & couldn't get the thoughts out that something else was crawling on me or the bed. It was a sleepless night & I had a very important legal board meeting to be at by 11am. I called the Quality Inn at 8:55am & asked if they knew what the bugs were in my room. She said the Hotel Manager should be in within about 5 minutes & would call me back about it. I again took a shower & about 10am the Hotel Manager called my cell phone apologizing for what he said they don't like to saw the words bed bugs but they were calling for the exterminator to take care of it right away as they do this quite often. I said I didn't think it was right that I was being charged for the room at the Comfort Inn & that they should be taking care of it. He said, Why would you not be charged for your room there? I said because you moved me here at 2 am because of the bed bugs & filth in the room. I've had less than 2 hours of sleep & Have a very important meeting with attorney's & I have pictures. He said if you think we are going to pay for your room, that is not going to happen. I said I don't think I should be charged because of the inconvenience & what I have endured in the unsanitary conditions & you moving me to another hotel. He said if you are going to be rude & be nasty I will not speak to you. If you want to threaten me with pictures this conversation is done. I said if I have to sue to have the money issued back & pay for the extermination fees I will. He said you can go f@ck yourself & hung up on me. I then called Choice Hotels to make a complaint. Put me on hold & called the Hotel Manager & said he spoke with him & the Hotel Manager said because I threatened to sue, they would sue me for making false allegations & that they had an exterminator come in & found nothing. I said, why then did he call to apologize to me this morning about the pics he was shown from his staff & have an exterminator come if there was nothing found & I am being called a liar, They said they would give the Hotel Manager 72 hrs to try to make things right & if not to call the reference # I was provided. I received an email from the GM from Quality Inn stating he apologized again for my stay but since I've threatened legal action the property was no longer going to communicate with me. I called back to Choice & talked to J & was told there's nothing I can do besides her submitting another request which I requested to see the official report from the exterminator that says no bugs were found when two of us have pictures of them. I was told by her that I could take 6000 points but I would not be reimbursed. I said no. I should not have had to go into a place that was unsanitary & then be forced to go to another hotel because they couldn't provide me with the hospitality I was promised in my reservation. I have taken many pictures & submitted reviews to Trip Advisor, Yelp, I'm in the process of having an investigation done also. This Hotel Manager was completely unprofessional as soon as I said I shouldn't have to pay for their problems.
