Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I stayed at Motel 6 in Ellensburg, WA on July 16, 2015. I woke at 4 in the morning. Felt something crawling on my scalp. Tousled my hair. Figured it might have been a fly or something. Turned the light on at 4:30AM. Saw bed bugs on the bed! I took a shower. Packed. I triple grocery sacked my clothes I had worn the day before that I left sitting on the 2nd bed, which I did not sleep on. I also put 4-5 bed bugs in a quart sized freezer bag. I let the lady at the front desk know about the bed bug situation. Showed her them in the bag as well as pictures from my phone<--pics of where they had been squashed on the sheets and on the pillow. She refunded me most of my money. She was polite. After I got home, I sprayed whatever I had put in the motel room, as well my vehicle, and boots and shoes. I washed and rinsed my clothes in hot water. I used a special shampoo on my hair. I had the creepy crawlies that evening and again the next morning.
