November 10, 2022 We stayed in this hotel for four nights. It was not cleaned while we were here. On the morning of checkout we found a live bedbug on one of the bed covers. We caught it, placed it in a container and reported it to the management. A hotel maintenance person who, when I asked represented himself as pest control, came in and took apart beds and looked for more bugs. He did not find any. When I went to check out, I brought the live bug. The clerk behind the desk said we had been staying for 4 days so we should not be compensated any nights. I told her that today was the day we found the bedbug so I couldn’t have reported it sooner. Another customer in the lobby called me a “Karen” and the clerk agreed with him. I asked to speak to a manager. I had to go to the Econo Lodge next door to do that. When speaking to the manager, she also insinuated that the fact that it was not found until today meant that they did not need to compensate us. She relented and comped us one night. I have called corporate and filled a formal complaint. Don’t stay here!
