Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

1. Stayed at this La Quinta from the night of 5/19/17-morning of 5/21/17; we started noticing some bites on just our lower legs/feet by 5/20 but thought they might be mosquito bites or fleas; my partner remembers seeing a small, "pencil-point" size black bug on his shirt that day which may or may not have been a bedbug. Did not notice any distinct signs of bedbugs on the mattress/bed we both slept on. However, by the day we left / after 2 nights at the hotel we both had several bugbites in identical regions (on our forearms and lower legs - they became more prominent about a day later); came back home to our family doctor who confirmed that we had very classic bedbug bites. 2. Reported this to the hotel after bites were confirmed, they will reportedly be taking action and said we could speak directly to a supervisor the following morning.
