March 31, 2017 I reserved a room at the vacation lodge in pigeon forge. I took my 9 year old there for vacation for her birthday only to be attacked by bed bugs. Management could not accommodate us with another room and they only refunded me part of my money. Me and my family had to cut our vacation short, my daughter had a terrible birthday and this place was so cruel to us.

We were pleasantly surprised that our room was large, clean, and updated. This was the first hotel on our road trip where i did not lift the mattress to look for bugs when we checked in. The next morning, my 10 year old found a bed bug crawling under the sheets. My husband caught it in a plastic cup to show management. I photographed some under the mattress. The office told my husband they would check the room, and he didn't pursue any further action. Their overall attitude throughout our stay makes me think someone else will be sleeping in there tonight...

We just arrived home from Pigeon Forge, TN after a 3 day stay. My husband and I took my son, his girlfriend and 4 month old son and our 12 year old daughter for the weekend. The first night was good. The first morning we noticed a couple red splotches on my daughter. Tjere was gnats flying around in our room from the leaky sink so we figured maybe it was mosquito bites. The second night and morning was a different story. My son, his girlfriend, my daughter and the baby all had bites. We tore the beds apart and found bed bugs. I went to the front desk and told the desk clerk about it at which time she acted like she didn't believe me. I had Munson catch one and bring it and show it to her. She acted like she had no clue what it was and like she didn't believe me. Reading these reports makes me wonder if they have ever even done anything to get rid of them. They have obviously had problems before because all of the mattresses were covered with mattress covers. It was 11:30 pm on Saturday night and I asked to speak with the manager but she couldn't be bothered with a PAYING guest so late at night on the weekend. The desk clerk wouldn't give me her name and wouldn't say anything on the video I recorded to document the events. She did refund our last night and we went to the Comfort Inn at Dollywood Lane. That is where we always stay but went the cheaper route. NEVER AGAIN! Our stay was on October 26-29, 2017. I will be calling on Monday for the rest of my money back.
