I checked in La Quinta on behalf of my job (I travel for a living) located near the airport in Bohemia, NY on Monday, September 11 around 7:30pm. Before i placed any of my belongings anywhere i had checked my bed for any signs of bedbugs ( as i always do when i check in a hotel) which i had not seen any signs of them any where. Well, the bedbug was found Tuesday night feeding on my stomach as I was midway falling asleep. It was approximately 10:55pm. It resembled an oversized lice, red fleshy skin. I know this detailed due to the fact that i had taken three pictures on my phone for proof after I had killed it. It had also stained the bed sheets with the blood it had fed from my skin. The room number I booked is 340. I had called the front office & reported it and the LaQuinta front office had apologized for the inconvenience and willingly convinced me to have a better room (king suite) i gladly agreed because i did not want to go back to bed knowing there could be more on the bed. I highly suggest this building having an inspection before it worsens. Finding just one bug & not taking care of the issue will have its consequences in reputation & in guests. I am only saying this from a professional constructive criticism perspective and I hope it is properly taken care of.
