7/29 Felt crawling on us in the night. Thought nothing of it and woke up to multiple bite marks on body. Brought it up to hotel staff and offered clean sheets. Sheets were cleaned and we stayed the night to wake up to more bites. Looked at the sheets and saw smears of my blood and feces from a bug. Checked the entire room and found multiple spots of evidence. Hotel staff said they would spray for bugs. Again woke up with more bites. Was told by staff wasn’t bed bug bites though none of them are legally licensed to diagnose and treat medical conditions. Leave that to doctors. Showed them photos of the evidence and was dismissed until I needed a manager who stated based on evidence needed to change rooms. Not even offered compensation. Just dismissal by staff. Went home, took entire suitcase to a bed bug expert to clean everything. Found one bed bug on my pj’s that I bought while there, and wore to bed in the hotel bed. So they confirmed bed bugs. Also went to the dermatologist and they looked at the bites and said it was also bed bugs. If two experts say it’s bed bugs, it’s bed bugs. The hotel staff needs some major hospitality training. Will be contacting corporate to rectify. Found out last week the couple we met at the pool also got bed bugs from the hotel and staff dismissed them and accused them of bringing bed bugs to hotel
