Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We booked a room at the Holiday Inn Brookline for three nights (June 18, 19, 20) in 2017. Our first night staying here, everything was going okay until the morning. I woke up with bedbugs bites on my feet and ankles. We alerted the front desk, and they did everything they could to make it right. They offered a refund, but we booked through a third party, so we would have to call them, which was fine. We switched rooms, and I don't think there were any bedbugs in the second room. I've seen quite a few reports of bedbugs in this hotel, so honestly, I'm not surprised. Also, the hotel is rather dated, so that doesn't surprise me either.
