I called the front desk tell them they were bed bugs crawling around and live in the room. They sent up housekeeping housekeeping took the bugs and said they were going to bring them to the front desk the front desk if you'd like it was no big deal offered me a free breakfast. I called Holiday Inns corporate and filed a complaint they called the hotel the hotel then said that they would wash my clothes or give me the funds to do it myself still acted like there was no big deal when I went down to the front desk they were blaming housekeeping they're being very nonchalant as if there was no nothing was wrong I asked what about my luggage they told me there was nothing to do with my luggage I then went further with the complaint and talk to management after I had Holiday Inn call them 3 times the Holiday Inn agreed to get something to spray my luggage with they still acted like there was no problem this hotel is infested they were very uncooperative and wanted to keep it as quiet as they could this is something that must get out to the public the way they acted as if this this happens all the time and they have it set protocol on how they handle it I do not feel giving me a couple of dollars for breakfast fixes the problem. I could get them to do is give me free laundry and big garbage bags to take my stuff home in. Give him free of the machines for the laundry clothing

I checked into the Red Roof Inn on 3-4-17, I was given room #206. After leaving the front desk I immediately went to the room to check it out and make sure it was clean and up to par for my standards. I planned to stay in the room for 11 nights to get a little bit of good sleep as my child is undergoing treatment at the local U of M hospital which is about 10 mins away. After checking out the room and even pulling the sheets and covers back to check the beds, I was satisfied and left to go run a few errands before returning to the hospital. My boyfriend and I came back to the hotel at approximately 6am Sunday 3-5-17. We had a two bed room, I was lounging in the bed closest to the bathroom and I noticed something moving out the corner of my eye. I looked over and it was a BED BUG crawling up the side of the bed on the white flat sheet. I immediately yelled for my boyfriend to come look as he was in the bathroom getting ready to take a shower. When he came out and looked he confirmed it was a bed bug so we snapped some quick pictures of it for evidence and we immediately grabbed our belongs and left out. I went to the front desk to inform the workers of what I saw and they basically said they could move me to another room and let the manager know when he came in. I told them I didn't feel comfortable being at the hotel as I do not want to take bed bugs back home and I definitely couldn't take bed bugs back to the hospital where sick patients and their families are. The manager contacted me the morning of 3-6-17 to get an understanding of what happened. He then let me know that he would go check the room out for evidence of bed bugs and let me know his findings. He then called me back at approximately 3pm to inform me that himself and the head of housekeeping did not find anything but they would keep checking back and he would have the maintenance guy take a look as well. Only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was why are you looking for bed bugs at 3pm? They aren't going to be running around in the daytime like a little puppy. I did my research after seeing it and it was stated numerous times that they hide during the day and come out at night when they sense body temperature to feed on the blood of sleeping persons. So of course the manager and the head of housekeeping didn't see any begs at 3pm. It is now 3-7-17 and I haven't heard anything else from him after he pressed the issue that he would let me know if they did or didn't find anything. I definitely would NOT ever get another room here and after searching reviews on google they have had an ongoing bed bug issue for the last few years.
