Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

1. February 7, 2017. We woke up and found a bug on the bed. They moved our room, but the next day, we had many bites. They did reimburse the cost of washing our stuff and they said they will reimburse our doctor's bill. We were with a large group and four other rooms had to be moved. We were told the dogs only found our room, but the teachers saw bugs in other rooms.

I am reporting for five rooms. I was the teacher on a field trip to DC and we had five rooms report bed bugs. The dates were 2/7/17-2/9/17. The first room, 303, management found an infestation and moved them. They have offered to pay for medical expenses. We have a picture of the bug from that room. Rooms 511, 513, and 314 all found a bug. I saw the small bug in room 513. These three rooms were moved to another. Room 407 found blood on the sheets and the child is now being treated for bed bug bites.
